As part of our range of Black History Month activities, we will be taking 30 students from Years 7-11 to the Southbank on Thursday 19 October to hear an inspiring talk from Stuart Lawrence, brother of Steven Lawrence. Stuart will be sharing his groundbreaking book Growing Up Black in Britain, followed by a performance of thirty-eight classic tunes which reflect the key moments of 20th and 21st century history in Jeffrey Boakye’s interactive and novel retelling of history for schools.
