A key aspect of our new autism provision is a renewed and enhanced focus on working with parents and carers. We know this is a powerful thing to do and can be hugely supportive to families, children and staff. We decided that a great place to start would be running our monthly Autism Series Parent and Carer workshops.
Attendance and Feedback from these sessions have shown how important collaboration throughout the community is, fostering an environment where we can learn, support, and grow together. The invaluable insights shared by our parents and carers during these workshops have played a pivotal role in enriching our understanding of the unique needs and strengths of our autistic students, friends and family members. Their experiences have offered perspectives that contribute to a more inclusive and supportive educational environment for all our students.
At TCSED, we value the opportunity to hear directly from our parents and carers. These workshops not only provide a platform for sharing knowledge but also serve as a forum for building a strong network of support within our community. As we continue to prioritise the well-being and success of every student, the collaborative efforts of our parents and carers remain instrumental. Thank you to all who have participated, shared their stories, and contributed to the success of the Autism Series workshops.
We have one remaining workshop this term which will focus on Autism and Social Skills. Please join us on Tuesday 19 December between 5-6pm, you can reserve a space here.
