Facilities Hire
The Charter School East Dulwich’s high quality buildings and spaces in the heart of East Dulwich are available for venue hire during the evenings, weekends and school holidays.
We offer venue hire in East Dulwich and South Camberwell through School Space, a local social enterprise that runs our venue hire and venue lettings.
Our sports hall, sports studio and dining hall at The Charter School East Dulwich are currently available for one-off or regular hire. Our school campus
The Charter School East Dulwich is based on East Dulwich Grove on the site of the old East Dulwich Community Hospital.
Building works began in 2017 and students moved from a temporary school site in Peckham to our new school campus in 2019 when phase 1 of our building works were complete.
Completed facilities include the vast majority of teaching spaces, incorporating over 85% of our classroom space and specialist facilities for the study of subjects such as science, design technology and art and design, plus all of our indoor sports facilities and catering.
The final phase of the building project is due to finish during the 2024-25 academic year, including a new Library, Drama and Music Suites, Theatre, Sixth Form spaces and SEND provision.
Our building programme
Phase 2 of our building programme will include delivery of world-class drama and music facilities and further outdoor games spaces. These works were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and this final stage of our building works is due to be completed in December 2024.
This final stage will complete our campus and include:
- main school hall
- Specialist sixth form workspaces
- Music classrooms and instrumental studios
- Drama studio
- Main school library
- Administration and support service offices
- SEND resource base
- Increased outdoor spaces with full landscaping and seating
